Dr. Tsutomu NOMIZU
Date of Birth: May 24, 1954
I have served as the academic coordinator of
Nagoya University Program for Student Exchange (NUPACE) since its start
in 1996. This program has annually accepted more than 70 -80 students
from our partner universities all over the world and contributed to the
internationalization of the education in Nagoya University. I was
appointed as
Director of the AC21 General Secretariat in 2006
(http://www.ac21.org/). Additionally, in April 2008, I was
appointed Advisor to the
President and Director of Office of International Strategic
Planning.(OISP). In March 2009, I terminated the role
of the Advisor and the Direcotrs of the AC21 General
Secretariat and the
OISP
I also belong to the Graduate School of Engineering where my major
is instrumental analytical chemistry. In my work, I am especially
interested in the instrumentation of new principles and techniques for
detecting ultra-trace elements in materials and environmental matters
and for separating and characterizing submicron particles.
