A) Student Loan matters

1. Targeted people — A foreign international student currently attending Nagoya university
2. Reason for Loan — This special loan is only to be used in the cases where it is necessary.
3. Maximum amount of loan — ¥50,000.
4. Loan term — A maximum of 3 months (The length of the is strictly Observed)
5. Interest on Loan — None.

B) The steps of procedure if the loan amount needs to be used

1. Application: Please submit the loan application form, “Application for Student Loan” and “Acknowledgement of Debt” to the International Affairs Division (IAD) (1st Floor of the ECIS) by 17:00 Tuesday of the given week.
   N.B.
   1. If Tuesday/ Wednesday are a holiday, please submit it by 17:00 on Monday.
   2. An International Students affiliated to a department outside of the Higashiyama Campus, please submit it to the reception of your affiliated division looking after the International Students.
2. Receiving it: It will be kept at the IAD, please collect on the Thursday 2 days later. (You cannot borrow the money without your student card)
   N.B.
   1. In the case that the Thursday is a holiday, the collection can be made on the Friday.
3. Returning the Money: The money can be returned at any time. At the same time please give back the copy of “Acknowledgement of Debt” that you were given to the IAD. (Do this strictly within the 3 month period!)
4. Remarks: Application Form (“Application for Student Loan” and “Acknowledgement of Debt”) are available from your department of affiliation.
